Summer zoomed by in a whirlwind of activity. Mostly I tried to attend a lot of art festivals this year and enjoy what others make. That was fun and relaxing. (I don’t relax well – I know big surprise.)  I displayed at a few wine walks, but what kept me busy the most art-wise was doing commissioned painted furniture and teaching classes. This fall and winter I hope to get to some of the great pieces in my studio.  After the new year I want to begin a two-year project – a series of paintings that have been rambling around in my head and heart. I have come to realize that when I push my limits – I find that the skill is there or I can learn it. If I stumble, I can always go to the internet and find an answer – what a great help that has been. It certainly keeps life exciting when you continue discover newness in yourself.  I think it is in all of us – we just need to keep looking for it, move forward…there may be NO LIMITS to what we can accomplish!

Spring 2014

Seems I have been busy.  Just got back from a wonderful cruise on Norwegian to the Bahamas.  I fed and held a stingray..OK it was just a baby stingray but the large ones were all around me and I pet them.  My son, Glenn, is getting married this weekend and my daughter, Greta, is buying a house in Boston.  All that is good news.

Happy New Year

2013 was a good year.  I added a new store for my arts (and some crafts) in Clifton Springs.  This year I will add a store in Victor I hope.  I had just the right amount of time interacting with the public and creating.  I hope to get more time to focus on acrylic paintings in 2014 and work on a few series that have been bouncing around in my head. Of course I will have to work on that collection of furniture in my studio!  My son is getting married in May – very exciting.  Whatever the year brings, I hope that I will bring to others some happiness, kindness and understanding.  I appreciate all the support and encouragement from my family and friends.  Happy and healthy 2014 !

What a busy weekend we had !  Friday night we celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary which included dinner at Bristol Valley Harbor – one of the most beautiful views in the world. I felt like a princess and was treated as such !  33 years and I still really, really like him and love him more than ever.  Sat – we had his family reunion and enjoyed a long ride home in the Wrangler with the top down on the thruway – incredible weather ALL WEEKEND.  Today – my family reunion and UK Car Day Show. I always bring some show-n-tell to the family reunion, so I brought some of my sheep … and a few were “adopted” and went home to new families. So hard for me to let them go after I name them.  Now updating my galleries.  I have been so busy with projects that I can’t take time to get pics of everything and download them to the galleries !  I have to act responsible and get going on the commissioned pieces I have in my studio.

Once again I think we have the most beautiful weather in the nation.  The veggies are all planted, the hydrangeas are in, snowball bush in full bloom.  It was lovely while we had guests for the holiday weekend.

I have some time off work to work on some projects I have been dying to get at.  I will post when done…except one that will be a secret wedding gift for my niece, Jenna.
