WELCOME. My name is PEGGI  HEISSENBERGER.

I would like to share the art that has become a passion in my life.  My background is medical – Medical Assistant and Emergency Medical Technician.  But I always kept creating artwork whenever I could even while working, raising a family and volunteering.

I fell in love with the creating process in the art lab at Bishop Kearney High School where I spent most of my time there.  I moved from Webster, NY to the Finger Lakes area in 2005 and discovered a very active art community.  I have been able to take classes from local artists and craftspeople to expand my skills.  Primarily I paint commissioned furniture and create acrylic paintings. Other mediums I work with include watercolors, wood, hand-thrown pottery, wool, jewelry and paper crafting. 

The philosophy for my work is to lift the spirits of everyone who sees it. I look for the beauty in the world and try to throw a spotlight on it.

I sell and exhibit my paintings throughout the Finger Lakes area in many public buildings with the Ontario County Arts Council.  My furniture, pottery, paintings and crafts are also sold in local shops listed under locations.

I teach classes locally and in my home.  It is WONDERFUL in a class  to see peoples faces full of joy at discovering and unraveling new capabilities in themselves.  If you see something you would like to learn, email me at Peggi.arts@gmail.com.
